REFRIGERATION EQUIPMENT
Thank you for your letter of 19 March 2001.
I can understand your eagerness to make progress on the future
of responsible management of CFC—containing goods. You are
right, however, to emphasise the need for DETR/DTI guidance and
clarification, and I have forwarded copies of your letter and
this response to the Waste Policy Division to ask for their interpretation
of EC Regulation 2037/2000.
I have asked my colleagues to review the draft
DIN standard attached to your letter; to discuss the matter with
DETR; and then to contact you to arrange a further discussion.
