Resolved, That the Committee do visit Manchester, in connection with its inquiry into "The Government's Drugs Policy: Is it Working?".—(The Chairman.)

Resolved, That uncorrected transcripts of evidence from Ministers be placed on the Internet.—(The Chairman.)

The Work of the Lord Chancellor's Department: The Rt Hon the Lord Irvine of Lairg, QC, Lord Chancellor, and Sir Hayden Phillips, KCB, Permanent Secretary, Lord Chancellor's Department, were examined.
