Resolved, That the Committee do inquire into the Anti-Terrorism, Crime and Security Bill 2001.—(The Chairman.)

Ordered, That Mr Angus McIntosh, QPM, be appointed a Specialist Adviser to assist the Committee in its inquiry into the Anti-Terrorism, Crime and Security Bill 2001.—(The Chairman.)

Several memoranda [The Government's Drugs Policy: Is it Working?] were ordered to be reported to the House.

The Work of the Home Office: The Rt Hon David Blunkett MP, Home Secretary, and Mr John Gieve, Permanent Secretary, Home Office, were examined.
