Entertainment Allowance
Resolved, That approval
be sought from the House of Commons Commission to increase the
Select Committee entertainment allowance from £500 to £1000
per Committee per financial year. (The Chairman.)
Overseas Travel
Resolved, That the Committee
approves the following visits:
Foreign Affairs Committee to Madrid at a cost not
exceeding £11,620;
Northern Ireland Affairs Committee to the USA at
a cost not exceeding £60,500, and to Dublin at a cost not
exceeding £6,919;
Treasury Committee to the USA at a cost not exceeding
£55,941;
Health Committee to Canada and the USA at a cost
not exceeding £63,879;
Transport, Local Government and the Regions Committee
to Japan and Hong Kong at a cost not exceeding £63,054.(The
Chairman.)
Seminar
Resolved, that the Environmental
Audit Committee's proposed seminar be approved at an estimated
cost of £1,836 and that authority to approve such events
in future should be delegated to the Chairman of the Committee.
