Letter from Mr Archy Kirkwood MP to the
Chairman of the Committee
I understand you are currently conducting an
inquiry into select committees. I have received a copy of the
letter sent to you by Chris Mullin and would wish to concur with
the points he has made on pre-legislative scrutiny, pay and the
size of committees.
I would, however, add that I believe more staff
resources should be made available to select committees so that
they can meet the increasing demands placed upon them.
