The Committee deliberated.

Resolved, That the Committee do take evidence in private in connection with its inquiry into the Financing of Terrorism in Northern Ireland. —(The Chairman.)

Resolved, That the Committee do inquire into The Impact in Northern Ireland of Cross-Border Road Fuel Price Differentials: Three Years On. —(The Chairman.)

Resolved, That the Committee do visit Northern Ireland, from 10 to 11 December 2001, in connection with its inquiries into the Introduction of the Aggregates Levy in Northern Ireland and the Financing of Terrorism in Northern Ireland. —(The Chairman.)

Introduction of the Aggregates Levy in Northern Ireland: Mr John Woods, Head of Campaigns and Development and Mr Declan Allison, Campaigns Assistant, Friends of the Earth, were examined.

Mr Nigel Smyth, Director, Mr Ralph Clarke, Confederation of British Industry, Northern Ireland, and Mr Steve Fidgett, Executive Secretary, Minerals Committee, Confederation of British Industry, were examined.

The Committee further deliberated.
