The Committee deliberated.

Draft Special Report (Government Observations on the Third Report of the Committee, Session 2001-02, Introduction of the Aggregates Levy in Northern Ireland: The Government's Response), proposed by the Chairman, brought up, read the first time and second time and agreed to.

Resolved, That the Report be the Fifth Special Report of the Committee to the House.

Ordered, That the Chairman do make the Report to the House.

Ordered, That the Government's response to the Committee's Third Report of Session 2001-02 be appended to the Report. —(The Chairman.)

Resolved, That the Committee do visit Dublin in February 2003 and the Netherlands in April 2003, in connection with its inquiry into The Illegal Drugs Trade and Drugs Culture in Northern Ireland. -(The Chairman.)

Ordered, That the Chairman do seek the approval of the Liaison Committee for expenditure in connection with the said visits.

Ordered, That Mrs Sally Evans be appointed a Specialist Adviser, to assist the Committee in its inquiry into The Control of Firearms in Northern Ireland and the draft Firearms (Northern Ireland) Order 2002.-(The Chairman.)
