Professor Sir Andrew Likierman, KCB, Head of the Government Accountancy Service and Managing Director, Financial Management, Reporting and Audit; Mr David Loweth, Head of Central Accountancy Team; Mr Chris Richards, Member of Central Accountancy Team; and Mr Adam Sharples, Director, Public Spending, HM Treasury, were examined (HC 349-i).

Ordered, That the draft Report be read a second time, paragraph by paragraph.

Paragraphs 1 to 5 read and agreed to.

Paragraph 6 postponed.

Paragraphs 7 to 25 read and agreed to.

Postponed paragraph 6 read and agreed to.

Resolved, That the Report, as amended, be the Thirty-sixth Report of the Committee to the House.

Ordered, That the Chairman do make the Report to the House.

Ordered, That the provisions of Standing Order No. 134 (Select Committees (Reports)) be applied to the Report.
