The Comptroller and Auditor General's Report on Ministry of Defence:
Major Projects Report 2001 (HC 330) was considered.
Sir Robert Walmsley, KCB, FREng, Chief of Defence Procurement
and Chief Executive, Defence Procurement Agency, was further examined;
Vice Admiral Sir Jeremy Blackham, KCB, Deputy Chief of Defence
Staff (Equipment Capability), Ministry of Defence, was examined;
and Mr Tim Banfield, Director, National Audit Office, was examined
(HC 448-i).
Ordered, That, for the remainder of the evidence to be
taken this day, the Committee meet in private.(The Chairman).
The witnesses were further examined.
The witnesses withdrew.

Ordered, That the draft Report be read a second time, paragraph
by paragraph.
Paragraphs 1 to 4 read and agreed to.
Paragraph 5 postponed.
Paragraphs 6 to 27 read and agreed to.
Postponed paragraph 5 read and agreed to.
Resolved, That the Report be the Forty-first Report of
the Committee to the House.
Ordered, That the Chairman do make the Report to the House.
Ordered, That the provisions of Standing Order No. 134
(Select Committees (Reports)) be applied to the Report.
