The Comptroller and Auditor General's Report on Awarding the new licence to run the National Lottery (HC 803), was considered.

Ms Sue Street, Permanent Secretary, Department for Culture, Media and Sport, was further examined; and Mr Mark Harris, Chief Executive, National Lottery Commission, was examined (HC 881-i).

A division of the House being called, the Chairman suspended the meeting for ten minutes.

The Committee resumed.

The witnesses were further examined.

The witnesses withdrew.

The Committee further deliberated.

Ordered, That the draft Report be read a second time, paragraph by paragraph.

Paragraphs 1 to 4 read and agreed to.

Paragraph 5 postponed.

Paragraphs 6 to 21 read and agreed to.

Postponed paragraph 5 read and agreed to.

Resolved, That the Report be the Sixty-fifth Report of the Committee to the House.

Ordered, That the Chairman do make the Report to the House.

Ordered, That the provisions of Standing Order No. 134 (Select Committees (Reports)) be applied to the Report.
