Sir George Young was called to the Chair.
Ordered, That the Chairman do report his election to the
House.
Tony Baldry declared a pecuniary interest in relation to any inquiry
into complaints against Mr Keith Vaz, as a member of a barristers'
chambers which had advised witnesses who had given evidence to
the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards in relation to Mr
Vaz; and declared that he would take no part in any such inquiry.
Ordered, That, pursuant to Standing Order No. 150, the
Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards do attend the meeting.(The
Chairman.)
The Commissioner attended accordingly.
The Committee deliberated.
