Letter to Mr John Maxton from the Parliamentary
Commissioner for Standards
I wrote to you on 18 July 2001 requesting a reply
to my letter of 19 April 2001.
You telephoned me on that day and said that you would
not be replying to my letters of 19 April or 18 July.
In my letter of 18 July I explained that the Committee
had decided that I should continue with my enquiries and I have
done so.
I am now in the process of compiling my report for
the Committee and expect to provide it to them for their first
meeting on 23 October 2001.
This letter is to alert you to this time table and
particularly to provide you with a further opportunity of replying
to my letters or providing a statement on this complaint which
I will append in full to my report.
If you do wish to write to me may I request your
letter by 10 October 2001 at the latest.
