Mr Griffiths telephoned me to say that the Finance
Office had information about the monies he had paid in relation
to his accommodation going back 3 years but the records prior
to that were in boxes stored somewhere. He asked if I would like
an interim reply or if I would like to wait until the Finance
Office had their records. I suggested that he asked the Finance
Office to find their boxes as a priority since this matter was
being run in the press. I said it would not help him until I had
a complete answer. He understood this and asked me to consider
whether there was anything else he needed to include in his reply
to me apart from the draft which he has already provided. I said
I would look carefully at the draft and let him know.
