Letter to the Parliamentary Commissioner
for Standards

Thank you for your letter which I received today,
and which we discussed briefly.
I acknowledge a failure to register the ownership
of property or the rent with the Registrar of MPs Interests. In
compliance with the law in Scotland the ownership has always been
in the public domain. The rental income was not and I have today
amended my entry in the register after taking advice from [the
Registrar].
I have also been discussing this with the Fees Office
and I have given Mr Cameron a full explanation which I append.
I hope to have a response from him tomorrow and would wish to
take up your kind offer of a meeting as soon as I have the views
of the Fees Office.
