Select Committee on Transport, Local Government and the Regions Appendices to the Minutes of Evidence

Supplementary memorandum by Advantage West Midlands (ERF 16(a))

I refer to your letter dated 11 March 2002 requesting additional information following on from the Select Committee that I attended last week. Outlined below is the necessary information that will hopefully clarify the matter.

  1.  From 2002-03 onwards the individual programme allocations will be replaced by Single Pot Funding. Consequently, there will be no separate budget for Land and Property in two years' time.

  2.  However, the forecasts below are our current forecasts of expenditure on Land and Property projects for 2002-03 and 2003-04:

2002-03
2003-04
Commitments
£19.4 million
£7.1 million
Developing projects*
£47.0 million
£28.7 million

  3.  You should note that not all developing projects will come to fruition.

  4.  Our current forecasts are higher than those contained in the Corporate Plan; this is the result of movement on the programme since the plan was submitted.
