PROCEEDINGS OF THE TRANSPORT SUB-COMMITTEE RELATING TO THE REPORT

At the meetings of the main Committee on 19 July 2001, and of the Transport Sub-committee on, 30 January, 6 and 13 February, 6 and 20 March 2002 the following Declarations of Interest were made

Mrs Gwyneth Dunwoody declared a non­pecuniary interest as a member of the Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers Union.

Miss Anne McIntosh declared a pecuniary interest as the holder of shares in Eurotunnel plc, FirstGroup plc and Railtrack plc.

Draft Report [10 Year Plan for Transport] proposed by the Chairman, brought up and read.

Ordered, That the draft Report be read a second time, paragraph by paragraph.

Paragraphs 1 to 138 read and agreed to.

Resolved, That the Report be the Third Report of the Sub-Committee to the Committee.-(The Chairman.)

Ordered, That the Chairman do make the Report to the Committee.

Ordered, That the Chairman do make the Report to the House.

Ordered, That the provisions of Standing Order No. 134 (Select committee (reports)) be applied to the Report.

Ordered, That the Appendices to the Minutes of Evidence taken before the Transport Sub-committee be reported to the House.
