NATS FINANCIAL INQUIRY
I refer to your letter received on 19 June.
The total costs of professional advice to the
CAA in relation to securing the PPP, up to 31 March 2002, were
£2,532,000. Professional fees since that date amount to £21,000.
As you indicated, the deadline for submissions
on the CAA's consultation document on NATS' application to re-open
its price cap was Friday 21 June. I am enclosing copies of the
responses. The CAA's analysis of these will be included in our
decision document which we expect to publish around the end of
July. I will ensure the Committee sees the decision as soon as
it is available.
