Ordered, That Professor Stuart Cole be appointed a Specialist Adviser to assist the Committee in matters relating to transport in Wales.—(The Chairman.)

Ordered, That Dr Rachel Ashworth be appointed a Specialist Adviser to assist the Committee in matters relating to the Wales Office Departmental Report and public expenditure.—(The Chairman.)

Resolved, That the Committee do visit Cardiff on 29 & 30 October in connection with its inquiry into Objective 1 European Funding for Wales.—(The Chairman.)

Draft Special Report, proposed by the Chairman, brought up and read.

Ordered, That the draft Report be read a second time, paragraph by paragraph.

Paragraph 1 read and agreed to.

Resolved, That the Report be the First Special Report of the Committee to the House.

Ordered, That the Chairman do make the Report to the House.

Ordered, That the Government's response to the First Report from the Committee in Session 2000-01, Wales in the World: the Role of the UK Government in Promoting Wales Abroad, be appended to the Report.—(The Chairman.)

Resolved, That the Committee do inquire into Farming and Food Prices in Wales.—(The Chairman.)
