The Committee deliberated.
Draft Special Report, proposed by the Chairman, brought up and
read.
Ordered, That the draft Report be read a second time, paragraph
by paragraph.
Paragraph 1 read and agreed to.
Resolved, That the Report be the Second Special Report
of the Committee to the House.
Ordered, That the Chairman do make the Report to the House.
Ordered, That the response from the National Assembly for
Wales to the First Report from the Committee of Session 2000-01,
Wales in the World: the Role of the UK Government in Promoting
Wales Abroad, be appended to the Report.—(The Chairman.)
Wales Office Departmental Report 2001 and other Departmental Matters:
Rt Hon Paul Murphy, a Member of the House, Secretary of State
for Wales, Ms Alison Jackson, Head of the Wales Office, and Mr
John Kilner, Principal Finance Officer and Head of Administration,
Wales Office, were examined.
