Resolved, That the Committee do visit Brussels on
28 & 29 January 2002 in connection with its inquiry into Objective
1 European Funding for Wales.
Farming and Food Prices in Wales: Mr John Duncan, Executive Chairman,
First Milk and Chairman, Federation of Milk Groups, and Mr Robert
Audas, Managing Director, the Milk Group, and Member, Federation
of Milk Groups, were examined.
Mr Hugh Richards, President, Mrs Margot Bateman, Member, and Mrs
Mary James, Deputy Director/Head of Policy, National Farmers'
Union Cymru Wales; Mr Brian Walters, Vice President, Mr Terry
Bayliss, Vice President, and Mr Siôn Aron Jones, Policy
Officer, Farmers' Union of Wales, were examined.
