The Committee deliberated.
Ordered, That Rob Marris and a member of the Committee
staff do visit Copenhagen from 21-23 November to attend, in a
representative capacity, the Conference of the Committees for
women and men in the Parliaments of the EU Member States and the
European Parliament.(The Chairman.)
Ordered, That the Chairman do seek the approval of the
Liaison Committee for expenditure in connection with the said
visit.
The Committee further deliberated.
Social Security Advisory Committee: Mr Stewart Wright, Legal Officer,
Child Poverty Action Group; Mr Robin Wendt CBE, former member
of the Social Security Advisory Committee; Sir Peter Barclay CBE,
former Chairman of the Social Security Advisory Committee; Sir
Thomas Boyd-Carpenter KBE, Chairman of the Social Security Advisory
Committee; and Gill Saunders, Secretary to the Social Security
Advisory Committee, were examined.
