*To move the following Clause:—

       'Prior to the holding of a ballot of relevant non-domestic ratepayers in accordance with section 51(1), the billing authority shall take all reasonable steps to ensure that every non-domestic ratepayer eligible to vote in the ballot shall receive such infomation regarding the BID proposal and such information as will facilitate, each such non-domestic ratepayer being able readily to calculate the amount of BID levy that will be payable by him, as the Secretary of State shall prescribe.'.

      EXTRACT FROM THE ORDER OF THE HOUSE [7TH JANUARY]

      Proceedings in Standing Committee

          2.   Proceedings in the Standing Committee shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion on Thursday 6th February 2003.

          3.   The Standing Committee shall have leave to sit twice on the first day on which it meets.


      ORDER OF THE COMMITTEE [21ST JANUARY]

      That—

          (1)   during proceedings on the Local Government Bill, the Standing Committee do meet when the House is sitting on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8.55 a.m. and 2.30 p.m., except that the Committee shall not meet on Thursday 23rd January 2003;

          (2)   14 sittings in all shall be allotted to the consideration of the Bill by the Committee;

          (3)   the Committee shall report the Bill to the House not later than Thursday 13th February 2003;

          (4)   the proceedings to be taken at a sitting shall be as shown in the second column of the Table below and shall be taken in the order so shown;

          (5)   the proceedings which under paragraph (4) are to be taken at any sitting shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion at the time specified in the third column of the Table;

          (6)   paragraph (4) does not prevent proceedings being taken (in the order shown in the second column of the Table) at any earlier sitting than that provided for under paragraph (4) if all previous proceedings have already been concluded.
