REMAINING NEW CLAUSES

Provision of material

*To move the following Clause:—

    '(1)   The CHAI must, on request, provide the Comptroller and Auditor General with any material relevant to a review or investigation under sections 51 to 53 or a study under section 56.

    (2)   The CHAI must, on request, provide the regulator with—

      (a) any material which is relevant to a review or investigation under sections 51 to 53 and relates to the provision of health care by or for an NHS foundation trust;

      (b) any material which is relevant to a study under section 56 and relates to an NHS foundation trust.'.


Boarding schools and colleges: reports

*To move the following Clause:—

    'In section 87 of the Children Act 1989 (c.41), after subsection (9) insert—

          "(9A)   The Commission and the National Assembly for Wales must each publish such reports in relation to the exercise of its functions under this section as it considers appropriate.

          (9B)   The Commission and the National Assembly for Wales must each make copies of any report published by it under this section available for inspection at its offices by any person at any reasonable time.

          (9C)   Any person who requests a copy of a report published under this section is entitled to have one on payment of such reasonable fee (if any) as the Commission or the National Assembly for Wales (as the case may be) considers appropriate.".'.


ORDER OF THE HOUSE [7TH MAY 2003]

       That the following provisions shall apply to the Health and Social Care (Community Health and Standards) Bill:

Committal

    1.   The Bill shall be committed to a Standing Committee.

Standing Committee

    2.   Proceedings in the Standing Committee shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion on Thursday 19th June 2003.

    3.   The Standing Committee shall have leave to sit twice on the first day on which it meets.

Consideration and Third Reading

    4.   Proceedings on consideration (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion one hour before the moment of interruption on the day on which those proceedings are commenced.

    5.   Proceedings on Third Reading shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion at the moment of interruption on the day on which proceedings on consideration are commenced.

    6.   Sessional Order B (Programming Committees) made by the House on 28th June 2001 shall not apply to proceedings on consideration and Third Reading.

Other proceedings

    7.   Any other proceedings on the Bill (including any proceedings on consideration of Lords amendments or any further messages from the Lords) may be programmed.


ORDERS OF THE COMMITTEE [13th AND 20th MAY]

That—

    (1)   during proceedings on the Health and Social Care (Community Health and Standards) Bill the Standing Committee shall meet when the House is sitting on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8.55 a.m. and 2.30 p.m., except that on Tuesday 3rd June it shall meet at 10.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., [and, in addition, the Committee shall meet on Wednesday 4th June at 8.55 a.m. and 2.30 p.m.;]

    (2)   the proceedings to be taken at the sittings shall be as shown in the second column of the Table below and shall be taken in the order so shown;

    (3)   the proceedings which under paragraph (2) are to be taken on any sitting shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion at the time specified in the third column of the Table;

    (4)   paragraph (2) shall not prevent proceedings being taken (in the order shown in the second column of the Table) at any earlier sitting that that provided for under paragraph (2) if previous proceedings have already been concluded.
