REMAINING NEW CLAUSE

Consultation with devolved bodies in relation to regulations

To move the following Clause:—

       'The Secretary of State shall have a duty to consult the Scottish Parliament and National Assembly for Wales before making any regulations under this Act which have an impact on the provision of healthcare in NHS Trust areas that serve cross-border areas.'.


ORDER OF THE HOUSE [7TH MAY 2003]

That the following provisions shall apply to the Health and Social Care (Community Health and Standards Bill):

Committal

    1.   The Bill shall be commited to a Standing Committee.

Standing Committee

    2.   Proceedings in the Standing Committee shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion on Thursday 19th June 2003.

    3.   The Standing Committee shall have leave to sit twice on the first day on which it meets.

Consideration and Third Reading

    4.   Proceedings on consideration (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion one hour before the moment of interruption on the day on which those proceedings are commenced.

    5.   Proceedings on Third Reading shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion at the moment of interruption on the day on which those proceedings are commenced.

    6.   Sessional Order B (Programming Committees) made by the House on 28th June 2001 shall not apply to proceedings on consideration and Third Reading.

Other Proceedings

    7.   Any other proceedings o the Bill (including any proceedings on consideration of Lords amendments or any further messages from the Lords) may be programmed.

That,

    (1)   Paragraphs 4 and 5 of the Programme Order of 7th May 2003 relating to the Health and Social Care (Community Health and Standards) Bill shall be omitted.

    (2)   Proceedings on consideration shall be taken in the order shown in the following table, and each part of the proceedings shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion at the time specified in the second column.
