Working Title
Working Title, of which I am co-Chairman, makes
four to five films a year ranging in budget from $1 million to
$70 million. At least three of these films each year are British.
We also spend several million dollars a year in development, at
least 80% of which is British.
We are funded 50/50 by a US studio and a French television
group.
Our films make a large contribution to the economy
both in the making (UK spend or production) and in receipts—both
at the UK box office and through ancillary markets.
Culturally, our films are seen all around the
world by millions of people and when British, represent British
culture accordingly.
