I have for many years personally served a dozen
small scale beef and sheep enterprises. When I retire I will consider
that these units will find it uneconomical to obtain veterinary
services and that these units will fold or there will be an animal
welfare problem.
Since the eighties our professional bodies and
Defra have not had an helpful attitude to colleagues such as myself
who will treat all domestic species—we are thought to be
anachronistic.
