Mr Rob Molan, Second Treasury Officer of Accounts, was further
examined.
The Comptroller and Auditor General's Report on The 2001
Outbreak of Foot and Mouth Disease (HC 939), was considered.
Mr Brian Bender CB, Permanent Secretary, Department for Environment,
Food and Rural Affairs, was further examined; Mr Jim Scudamore,
Director General for Animal Health and Welfare, and Chief Veterinary
Officer, and Mr George Trevelyan, Director, FMD Operations, Department
for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, were examined (HC 1048-i).
Mr Brian Jenkins declared an interest as having been a Parliamentary
Private Secretary at the Ministry for Agriculture, Fisheries
and Food during the period under consideration.
The witnesses withdrew.

Resolved, That the Report be the Fifth Report of the
Committee to the House.
Ordered, That the Chairman do make the Report to the
House.
Ordered, That the provisions of Standing Order No.
134 (Select Committees (Reports)) be applied to the Report.
