SUMMARY OF REGULATORY IMPACT ASSESSMENT (RIA) 84. The Regulatory Impact Assessment indicates that the legislation on consent and the new regulatory regime for pathology services, tissue banks and public display of human remains will not have a significant impact on the business, charitable and voluntary sectors. The Small Business Service agrees that the Bill will have no significant impact on small business. COMMENCEMENT DATE 85. The substantive provisions of the Bill will come into force on days appointed by the Secretary of State by order, not intended to be before April 2005. This will allow the HTA to be set up and codes of practice to be prepared. |
