FIRE AND RESCUE SERVICES BILL

NOTE

The Amendments have been arranged in accordance with the Resolution of the Programming Sub-Committee [9th February].

RESOLUTON OF PROGRAMMING SUB-COMMITTEE

The Programming Sub-Committee appointed by the Speaker in respect of the Bill agreed the following Resolution at its meeting on Monday 9th February (Sessional Order C relating to Programming):     That—   

    (1)   during proceedings on the Fire and Rescue Services Bill the Standing Committee shall meet when the House is sitting on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9.25 a.m. and 2.30 p.m.;

    (2)   10 sittings shall be allotted to the consideration of the Bill in Committee;

    (3)   the proceedings shall be taken in the order specified in the Table below;

    (4)   the proceedings specified in the first column of the Table shall be brought to a conclusion (unless already concluded) at the time specified in the second column of the Table.

    '(3A)    An order under this section conferring a function additional to its functions under sections 7 and 8 for which a fire and rescue authority must make provision shall also provide for the payment to that authority by the Secretary of State of sums calculated to meet the capital and recurring costs of the discharge of such functions.'.
