and Temporal, and Commons, in this present |

Parliament assembled, and
by the authority of the same, as follows:— |

Discretionary
relief for rural cinemas |
|
|
(1) |
Section 47 of the Local
Government Finance Act 1988 (c. 41) (discretionary |
|
|
relief) is amended as follows. |
|
|
(2) |
In subsection (2) after paragraph
(c) there is inserted— |
|
|
“(d) |
the
hereditament is not an excepted hereditament, and all or |
|

part
of it is a rural cinema.” |
|
|
(3) |
After subsection (9) there
is inserted— |
|
|
“(10) |
The meaning of rural cinema
in this section shall be prescribed in |
|
|
regulations
made by the Secretary of State.” |

amended, in the Schedule,

The Planning and Compulsory
Purchase Act 2004 (c.
5) is amended as follows. |

In section 46 (planning contributions),
after subsection (4) there is inserted— |
|
|
“(4A) |
The regulations may make
provision for making a contribution in |
|
|
relation
to a rural cinema. |
|
|
(4B) |
The meaning of “rural
cinema” shall be prescribed.” |
|
|
|
|
|
|
|
