Community Access to Lifelong Learning

People's Network

All the available funding has been allocated to library authorities and used to develop computer and Internet access across the UK public library network. All services are now connected to the People's Network and presently 98.9% of all public libraries have public PC and Internet access.
Digitisation

All the available funding has been awarded to 149 projects that have digitised learning materials and made them available free of charge over the Internet; at this point £35.5 million has been spent.
ICT Training for Public Library Staff

All the money available has been allocated to library authorities and we estimate that 35,000 library staff will have been trained by the end of the programme on 31 March 2004.
ICT Training for Teachers and School Librarians
