— Care Standards Inspectorate for Wales
SCOTLAND
— NHSQiS (NHS Quality Improvement Scotland)
NORTHERN IRELAND
— HISRA (Health Improvements Standards
and Regulators Authority)—only just established and is intended
to incorporate the work of the current Registration and Inspection
Unit.
UK GENERAL
— All staff are required to be registered
with their appropriate professional bodies eg Nursing and Midwifery
Council.
— Hospices also have to meet the statutory
requirements of their local authorities eg Health and Safety Executive,
Environmental Health etc.
