To

amend the Mobile Telephones (Re-programming) Act 2002.                                                  

Be it enacted by the Queen’s most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and

consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:—

Offering or agreeing to re-programme mobile telephone

In section 1(1) of the Mobile Telephones (Re-programming) Act 2002 (c. 31)

(offence of re-programming mobile telephone etc), omit “or” at the end of

paragraph (a) and after paragraph (b) insert—

“(c)   

he offers or agrees to change, or interfere with the operation of,

a unique device identifier, or

(d)   

he offers or agrees to arrange for another person to change, or

interfere with the operation of, a unique device identifier.”

Citation and commencement

(1)   

This Act may be cited as the Mobile Telephones (Re-programming) Act 2005.

(2)   

Section 1 comes into force in accordance with provision made by the Secretary

of State by order made by statutory instrument.
