and Temporal, and Commons, in this present |

Parliament assembled, and
by the authority of the same, as follows:— |

Amendment
of requirements for making quality contracts schemes |
|

(1) |
Section 124 of the Transport
Act 2000 (c. 38) (quality contracts schemes) is |
|
|
|
|
(2) |
In subsection (1), for paragraphs
(a) and (b), substitute the words “the |
|
|
proposed scheme will implement
the policies set out in their bus strategy or |
|

strategies in a way which
is economic, efficient and effective.” |

Short
title, commencement and extent |

(1) |
This Act may be cited as
the Bus Services (Quality Contracts Schemes) Act |
|
|
|
|
(2) |
This Act shall come into
force at the end of a period of two months beginning |
|

with the date on which it
is passed. |
|
|
(3) |
This Act extends to England
and Wales only. |
