THE MARKETPLACE
The "Marketplace" event at Hendon
is based upon a University "Freshers Fair", inviting
recruits to meet representatives from many staff associations,
social/sports clubs or specialist departments. It provides an
opportunity for individuals to see what the associations, or departments
can offer regarding support, recreational activity or a career
path.
It also provides the associations, clubs or
activities with an opportunity to recruit members of the MPS for
their particular area or to heighten awareness about what is on
offer within the professional or social arena.
Some of the associations, clubs and specialist
departments who have attended the marketplace before:
— International Police Association
— Jewish Police Association
When: Five times a year. Next date—Tuesday
20 July 2004.
Time: 19:00 to 21:00
Venue: Miscellaneous Courses Dining Room/Lounge,
Peel Centre, Hendon.
Equipment: TV, Video and Poster Display Boards
can be provided.
