issues
It is our policy that the Defence Medical Services
(DMS) provides a primary care medical and dental service comparable
to that provided by the NHS. Secondary (hospital) care is provided
to Service personnel either at MoD Hospital Units, which are based
at six NHS Hospital Trusts across the UK, or at other NHS hospital
trusts, as appropriate. For personnel who have been injured,
the DMS has regional rehabilitation facilities around the country,
and a larger facility at DMRC Headley Court.
