I noted with interest the recent announcement
that the Committee would be giving further scrutiny to the recently
published Annual Human Rights Report issued by the UK Foreign
and Commonwealth Office.
Please find attached a short statement offering
a response to the sections of the report which relate to Russia,
which in the opinion of my organisation woefully under-represent
the true situation.
We have also attached a number of documents
which offer further insights into Human Rights in Russia in 2004
(please forgive the translations). I do hope that the members
of your Committee find them useful.
