Letter to the Parliamentary Relations
and Devolution Team, Foreign and Commonwealth Office from the
Clerk of the Committee, 4 February 2005
Further to my letter of 26 January, in which
I requested, inter alia, a note on the progress of the
inquiries into allegations of corruption in the Oil-for-Food programme
and on any involvement by UK nationals or entities, I am writing
to request that that note include a full discussion of the role
of the UK in the Oil-for-Food programme as set out in the Volcker
Report and that it deal with each of the assertions made in that
Report about the role of the UK.
