The Finance and Services Committee

The Finance and Services Committee is appointed by the House of Commons to consider expenditure on and the administration of services for the House; with the assistance of the Board of Management, to prepare the Estimates for the Votes for House of Commons (Administration) and (Works) for submission to the House of Commons Commission; and to report to the House of Commons Commission or the Speaker on the financial and administrative implications of recommendations made to them by any of the domestic committees (Accommodation and Works; Administration; Broadcasting; Catering; and Information).

Powers

The Committee's constitution and powers are set out in SO No. 144. The Committee has a maximum of eleven members, of whom the quorum for any formal proceedings is three. The members of the Committee are appointed by the House and unless discharged remain on the Committee until the next dissolution of Parliament.
