The next Bulletin will be published on Saturday 21 May 2005.

General Election May 2005

Parliament will be dissolved on Monday 11 April 2005.

The General Election will take place on Thursday 5 May 2005.

The new Parliament will be summoned to meet on Wednesday 11 May, when the first business will be the election of the Speaker and the swearing-in of Members.

The State Opening of Parliament will be on Tuesday 17 May 2005.

Palace of Westminster Summer Opening

The Houses of Parliament will open this summer from 2 August - 5 October (inclusive), with tours operating every few minutes. Tour times are as follows:

Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday 09.15-16.30; Wednesday and Thursday 13.15-16.30

Christmas recess

The House rose on Tuesday 21 December 2004 and returned on Monday 10 January 2005

Constituency week

The House rose on Thursday 10 February 2005 and returned on Monday 21 February 2005

Easter recess

The House rose on Thursday 24 March 2005 and returned on Monday 4 April 2005

House of Lords recess dates will be the same as the House of Commons
