WORK AND FAMILIES BILL (PROGRAMME):

        That the following provisions shall apply to the Work and Families Bill:

Committal

        1.   The Bill shall be committed to a Standing Committee.

Proceedings in Standing Committee

        2.   Proceedings in the Standing Committee shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion on Tuesday 20th December 2005.

        3.   The Standing Committee shall have leave to sit twice on the first day on which it meets.

Consideration and Third Reading

        4.   Proceedings on consideration shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion one hour before the moment of interruption on the day on which those proceedings are commenced.

        5.   Proceedings on Third Reading shall (so far as not previously concluded) be brought to a conclusion at the moment of interruption on that day.

        6.   Standing Order No. 83B (Programming committeess) shall not apply to proceedings on consideration and Third Reading.

Other proceedings

        7.   Any other proceedings on the Bill (including any proceedings on consideration of Lords Amendments or on any further messages from the Lords) may be programmed.

WORK AND FAMILIES BILL [MONEY]:      Queen's recommendation signified.

        That, for the purposes of any Act resulting from the Work and Families Bill, it is expedient to authorise—

    (1)   the payment out of money provided by Parliament of—

      (a)   any expenditure incurred by a Minister of the Crown or government department under the Act; and

      (b)   any increase attributable to the Act in the sums payable under any other Act out of money so provided; and

    (2)   the payment into the Consolidated Fund of any increase attributable to the Act in the sums payable into that Fund under any other Act.

CONTROL OF AVIAN INFLUENZA

        That this House takes note of European Union Document No. 8630/05 and Addendum I, draft Council Directive on Community measures for the control of avian influenza and draft Council Decision amending Council Decision 80/424/EEC on expenditure for the veterinary field; and supports the Government's objective of agreeing measures for the control and eradication of avian influenza.

EUROPEAN EVIDENCE WARRANT

        That this House takes note of Euopean Union Document No. 11288/05, draft Council Framework Decision on the European Evidence Warrant for obtaining objects, documents and data for use in proceedings in criminal matters; and supports the Government's position that the application of mutual recognition in this area will speed up and improve the transmission between Member States of evidence required to prosecute cross-border crime, whilst maintaining fundamental rights.
