MEMORANDUM
TABLING ARRANGEMENTS FOR QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER IN THE WEEK BEGINNING 1st MAY 2006
Under Standing Order No. 22(6), the Speaker has made arrangements for the shuffles for Questions for oral answer in the week
beginning 1st May to take place one day earlier than normal to take account of the Bank Holiday on 1st May. For the convenience
of Members, the deadline for tabling Prime Minister’s Questions for Wednesday 3rd May will be postponed until 1.00 p.m. The
details are set out below:
* The shuffles will be held at 12.30 p.m. except for the shuffle for Prime Minister’s Questions, which will be at 1.00 p.m.
This information is also set out on the Order of Questions rota available from the Vote Office and on the Bulletin Board on
the parliamentary intranet at http://intral.parliament.uk/bb/bb.htm.
QUESTIONS FOR WRITTEN ANSWER ON A NAMED DAY
The latest time for tabling a Question for written answer on a named day before the May Bank Holiday is 10.30 p.m., or the
rising of the House, whichever is earlier, on Monday 24th April, for answer on Thursday 27th April. The following dates have
been specified for the minimum notice for tabling named day written Questions for answer after the Bank Holiday:
