‘(1)    

The governing body of a maintained school shall, in discharging their functions

 

relating to the conduct of the school, take such steps as may be necessary to

 

promote the consumption by children of food and drink which may be considered

 

to contribute to their good health and well-being.

 

(2)    

At the end of subsection (4)(a) of section 482 of EA 1996 (Academies) leave out

 

“and” and insert—

 

“(aa)    

conditions and requirements for the purpose of securing that

 

measures are taken to promote the consumption by children

 

registered at the school of food and drink which may be
