Amend
the Housing Act 2004 so as to repeal provisions relating to Home

it enacted by the Queen’s most Excellent Majesty,
by and with the advice and |

consent of the Lords Spiritual
and Temporal, and Commons, in this present |

|
Parliament assembled, and
by the authority of the same, as follows:— |

Repeal
of Part 5 of the Housing Act 2004 |
|
|
(1) |
Part 5 of the Housing
Act 2004 (c. 34) (Home information packs) is hereby
|
|
|
|
|
(2) |
The following consequential
amendments shall be made to the Housing Act |
|
|
|
5 |
(a) |
in section 262(6) (Meaning
of “lease”, “tenancy”, “occupier”
and |
|
|
“owner” etc) the
words “does not apply for the purposes of Part 5 and”
|
|
|
|
|
(b) |
section 270(6) (Short title,
commencement and extent) is omitted; |
|
|
(c) |
in section 270(8) the words
“, (6)” are omitted; and |
|

(d) |
Schedule 8 (Penalty charge
notices under section 168) is omitted. |

|
(1) |
This Act may be cited as
the Housing Act 2004 (Amendment) Act 2006. |
|
|
(2) |
This Act extends to England
and Wales only. |
