Drug Addicts (Hemel Hempstead)
Mike Penning:
To ask the Secretary of State for Health what estimate her Department has made of the number of drug addicts in the Hemel Hempstead constituency; and how many are in a treatment programme. [16699]
Ms Rosie Winterton:
The Department has no estimate of number of drug addicts in the Hemel Hempstead constituency. Data is not collected as to the number of people receiving treatment for drug addiction within Hemel Hempstead. However, in 200304, the latest year for which data are available, there were 1,675 in structured drug treatments in Hertfordshire, of which Hemel Hempstead is a part.
