Departmental Annual Report

The Secretary of State for Health (Ms Patricia Hewitt): I am today laying before Parliament the Department of Health’s annual report for 2006 (Cm6814).

Copies have been placed in the Library.

Northern Ireland

Construction Industry Training Board

The Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (Maria Eagle): I am pleased to announce the publication of the Construction Industry Training Board annual report and accounts for 2004-05 financial year. This document is now available in the Library.

Northern Ireland: Assembly (Standing Orders)

The Secretary of State for Northern Ireland (Mr. Peter Hain): In addition to my appointment of Eileen Bell MLA (Alliance) as Presiding Officer to the Assembly under paragraph 3 (1) (a) of schedule 1 to the Northern Ireland Act 2006, I have today appointed

Jim Wells MLA (DUP) and Fancie Molloy MLA (Sinn Fein) as Deputy Presiding Officers to the Assembly under the same legislation.

I have also placed copies of Assembly Standing Orders determined under paragraph 4 (1) of schedule 1 to the Northern Ireland Act 2006 in the Libraries of both Houses.

Prime Minister

London Bombings

The Prime Minister (Mr. Tony Blair): I am grateful to the Intelligence and Security Committee for their report into the “London Terrorist Attacks on 7 July 2005” (Cm6785). Following consultation with the Committee over matters that could not be published without prejudicing the work of the intelligence and security agencies, as well as on matters which are sub-judice, I have today laid the report before the House.

I have also laid before the House today the Government’s response to this report (Cm6786).

Copies of the report and the response have been placed in the Libraries of both Houses.

Work and Pensions

Departmental Report

The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions (Mr. John Hutton): I am today able to announce the publication of the Department for Work and Pensions departmental report. The report provides details of the Department’s performance in 2005-06 against its public service agreement targets and sets out the Department’s expenditure plans for 2006-07 to 2007-08. Copies have been placed in the Library.
