Annex: Measures in the Commission's Work Programme

Notes: The measures are arranged according to our assessment of which Government Department is likely to be given responsibility for them, based on our experience with previous related proposals. This assessment may not always be correct. The first column lists the order within the four sections (P=prosperity, So=solidarity, Se=security, E=external) used by the Commission in its programme. The "timing" column gives information from the Commission's "road maps" for individual proposals, updated in March from the Commission's "forward programming" list for March 2006.[12] In the four cases where the document has already been published, the reference numbers are added in the last column.

The types of documents are: Dir=directive; Reg=regulation; Dec=decision; Rec=recommendation; Fwk=framework decision; Com=communication; WP=white paper; GP=green paper; Wor=working paper; Oth=other. Q1=first quarter (of 2006). Commission references are for 2006 unless another year is shown.
