DRUGS
Production, supply and possession

smuggling of alcohol and tobacco.
SEXUAL OFFENCES
Assault by penetration, by a part
of another person's body or with an instrument
Causing or inciting a person to engage
in activity involving such penetration without consent
Indecent assault which constitutes
an act of gross indecency
Publication of obscene material
Publication, possession and distribution
of indecent images of children
Attempts and conspiracies to commit
any of the above offences.
Notification of all the above offences to the
National Criminal Intelligence Service (NCIS), via the Desk Officer
in Consular Directorate, is triggered by a person's arrest, charge,
conviction, other finding of guilt, or deportation.
If the person is convicted of the crime overseas,
then that conviction will appear on their record of previous criminal
convictions on the Police National Computer (PNC), if the conviction
is supported by fingerprint evidence. Otherwise, the information
will be recorded on intelligence databases.

In addition, and in order to include relevant
offenders on the Sex Offenders Register or to apply for Sexual
Offences Prevention Orders in the UK, NCIS should also be informed
of:
Any sexual offence, from rape
to indecent exposure, committed against a person under the age
of 18
Notification in these cases is triggered by
a person's conviction. However, if Posts inform their Desk Officer
of a person's arrest for any of these offences, then the Desk
Officer will inform NCIS at the appropriate time.
