As you know, following Eve Samson's telephone conversations
with you on this, the Committee is taking evidence on strategic
thinking and planning in government. We are in the process of
arranging evidence sessions.
The Committee wish to invite Lord Birt to give evidence
on this topic.
Meetings usually take place on Thursday mornings,
but they can also be arranged for Thursday afternoons or Tuesday
mornings. I would be grateful if you could advise us about possible
dates which would be convenient for Lord Birt.
