MEMORANDUM
SUMMER ADJOURNMENT 2007
Members wishing to table questions in person may do so in the usual way in the Table Office until 6.30 p.m. or the rising
of the House (whichever is earlier) on Thursday 26th July. Thereafter, they may table oral and written questions electronically
or by post.
TABLING ARRANGEMENTS FOR QUESTIONS FOR ORAL ANSWER
Under Standing Order No. 22(6), the Speaker has made the following arrangements for tabling Questions for oral answer in the
first sitting week in October:
*The shuffle will be held at 12.30 p.m.
Further details on subsequent weeks are available from the Vote Office and on the Bulletin Board on the parliamentary intranet
at http://intra1.parliament.uk/bb/bb.htm.
The results of the shuffles on Monday 1st October will be published on Tuesday 2nd October in a blue unofficial notice paper
available from the Vote Office and on http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm200607/cmordbk2/cmob2.htm.
QUESTIONS FOR WRITTEN ANSWER ON A NAMED DAY
Until 6.30 p.m., or the rising of the House, whichever is earlier, on Thursday 26th July, the earliest named day for a Question
for written answer is Monday 8th October.
After the House has risen for the summer adjournment, Members may table five Questions for written answer on each of the recess
answering days under the terms of Standing Order No. 22B and the Order of the House of 16th May.
TABLING OF WRITTEN QUESTIONS FOR ANSWER IN FIRST SITTING WEEK OF OCTOBER
The normal arrangements for tabling questions for answer in the first sitting week of October will apply as follows:
* by 4.30 p.m. on each day.
Questions for ordinary written answer received between 27th July and 28th September will be treated as having been submitted
on Monday 1st October for answer on Monday 8th October.
